Daniel Taub is a writer, Israeli diplomat, an international lawyer. He was born in the United Kingdom and attended Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys’ secondary school in Hertfordshire. He then joined University College in both Oxford and London, and Harvard University to further his studies.
In 1989, Taub moved to Israel and joined the Israel Defense Forces. He served as one of their combat medics before becoming a reserve officer at the Israel Defense Forces international law division. Taub has also worked as a speechwriter to the former President of Israel, Chaim Herzog.
Taub has six children with his wife Zehafa. They performed together at a party that was set in honoring the 64th birthday of the Nation of Israel. He had joined Israel’s Foreign Ministry in 1991. From 2011 to 2015 Daniel Taub served as Israel’s Ambassador to the United Kingdom.

During his tenure, trade between Israel and the United Kingdom had increased two-fold. He had been a strong advocate for developing the academic, cultural and business links between the two countries.

Taub has been extensively involved in the peacekeeping process between Israel and Palestine. He helped in the negotiation of several peace agreements that were reached by the two countries. Taub also served as a member of negotiating team that was sent by Israel during the Israeli and Syrian negotiations.
He did serve as Israel’s representative to the United Nation’s investigative committee into the Gaza flotilla incident. Taub was responsible for negotiating of the Israeli Red Cross society to be part of the International Red Cross Movement after seven decades of being excluded.
Taub currently serves at the Yad Hanadiv Foundation as the Director of Strategy and Planning. The foundation is currently focused on grantmaking activities to aid in education, academic excellence, the environment and the Arabic community.
